About Acapulco Gold Seeds

Introduction

Nowadays, the list of popular cannabis strains reads like a grocery list belonging to someone who loves fruit, candy, and cake. Strawberry Banana, Tangie, Purple Punch, Zkittlez, Wedding Cake.

But before the hybrid craze well and truly took the marijuana industry by storm, an entirely different fixation was afoot.

People used to go wild for strains from distant and exotic corners of the Earth. These throwback strains were popularized by counter-culturalists in the United States before becoming widely known, used, and mythologized by everyone from college kids to politicians.

Acapulco Gold weed is just such an infamous strain. Today, the name might not indicate much more than good weed — but back in the day, it helped ignite a cultural revolution centered around marijuana.

From the 1960s until the early 90s, the Acapulco Gold name was synonymous with weed itself. Former vice presidents smoked it, and actor Jack Nicholson went on the record to say it was his favorite strain to puff.

For decades, this Mexican Sativa seeds have been sought after for their inherently unique landrace plant genetics. The gold-green buds that flower forth produce enthralling, energetic, and highly-focused effects for daytime smokers and creatives.

I grew AG from seed back in the ’80s ─ I had never seen pistils so white and fluffy…the plant looked like a snow-covered Xmas tree before it matured.

When they matured the pistils were bright, golden yellow.

The smell was different to other sativas and the high was on the first toke, instant…

Man, I’d give my left testicle for a few genuine AG seeds
